i got mine delivered to my addy in ca thru the mail. you're gtg son."If the American Left wanted to decrease interest in shooting, they should have the government make it mandatory like they do here in Switzerland. Nothing makes you not want to do something like when the government makes you do it."

Legally, no.
But I did once hear some brainless female news reporter moron refer to a WW2 bolt action Mauser rifle as a "5 shot bolt action assault rifle."
And I'm sure that there are dung for brains, gibbering and shrieking, liberal Democrats out there who would consider my Brown Bess a "single shot, black powder, muzzle loading, flintlock assault rifle."Comment

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774_1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764Comment

Just a little bit...the presence - no, mere existance, of vicious, deranged, Marx-licking morons who want to make criminals out of law abiding folks who are merely exercising their Consitutional Rights, and who wouldn't hesitate to murder my whole family, slaughter all my dogs, and burn my house to the ground for refusing to drop my Bill of Rights pants and roll over for them, does tend to provoke me into saying unkind - but true - things about them.
By the way, that's an old photo of me, from when I first heard people were actually stupid enough to vote for Obama. My hair is much longer now, and with the help of thorazine I now only need to wear the jacket when I watch television.Last edited by Marcus von W.; 10-13-2012, 9:37 AM.Comment

Seriously, though, I've never owned one, but an FN 49, especially in .30-06, does sound like it would be a lot of fun.
I admit my knowledge of this rifle is rather limited - were ever any FN-49's built with California-determined evil-wicked-bad, double-plus ungood, no no no, features like grenade launchers or flash hiders, unacceptable stock configurations, larger than permitted magazines, or anything else socially unacceptable that would make the leftist lunatic libs scream in fear and rage like a jalepeno and horseradish enema?Comment

This is true. And it would be nice if the politico-pigs who scamper around in Republican drag were 1/10 as determined to stand up for our rights as the Democrats are determined to take them away.
So much of this b.s. could be avoided if a Republican president (if we ever have another one) would simply stand up for the people who voted for him (instead of kissing the azzes of those who didn't) and sign an executive order doing away with "selective incorporation" that applies the whole Bill Of Rights, including the Second Amendment, to the states. As that famous Clinton hack described it, "Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Cool!".Comment

Argentinian models were modified in the 60s? to accept 20 round detachable magazines.Seriously, though, I've never owned one, but an FN 49, especially in .30-06, does sound like it would be a lot of fun.

Most were able to accept a grenade launcher, all seem to have had a standard 10 round fixed magazine, stock very similar to a Garand, and some rather unique muzzle devices.Soli Deo Gloria.Comment

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
