    distributor information

i'm trying to locate the companies that supply j & g, midway, and all those other places with c&r guns and products.

anyone know the source, or have any idea how to find out?
at some point i might be willing to pay a "finders fee" for information leading to the culprits

Midway is big enough I expect they get their products direct from the Manufacturers.

JG gets their guns from importers, two off the top of my head are Century and Liberty Arms international.

I think that they do both, deal with governments and private exporters/distributors. Sounds like you need to meet someone who will apprentice you or take you under their wing so you can learn the ins and outs of that crazy business.

I don't know of any resources on the web to find out stuff like this, I would imagine that the importers guard their sources pretty closely? Sounds more like an eye to eye/handshake sort of business.

That business has long since passed. Century is the biggest importer period. They dominate and have agents and contracts all over the world. Back in the 80's I did some work for Armscorp. They imported rifles and arms from Israel. For them and others it's all about contacts in the governments and military's which hold the arms. Pretty much everything has been picked over, and most other importers have gone out of business.

If you have millions of dollars to spend making introductions all over the world, then maybe you might be able to import some things, but you could never make a profit. Arms imported into the US need to be held in bonded warehouses.... So not only would you need all the proper federal and state licenses you would need to have the proper warehouses to store the firearms before they were released for sale.
