New VZ 24 and some Questions for Mauser Experts

What I do know is that it's Romanian contract based in the "R" in the serial number, and it's bolt is force matched because of the electro pencil on the the bolt handle. What I'd like to know is: Is this there any info on when serial number YR XXXXX would have been made? Does a receiver ring with no crest indicate it was scrubbed? I was expecting a ground crest but not as clean as this. It's a much nicer rework than my RC K98's. Is it still a Russian capture or reworked by some other arsenal maybe after the war?

Any of the above or additional info appreciated. Thanks!

Yes it has a nice ugly PW Arms import on the right side at the end of the barrel. This is one from AIM surplus that they had for sale recently. I always wanted a VZ 24 because well... they look cool.
