$450 seems to be the average price for a clean one, about 85% grade or higher that isn't something special like a 1949 or unfired, etc.

1952 Russian laminated stock SKS-45? I think it is a machined receiver, but I have not seen a sheet metal one.

Nice looking SKS. I'm pretty sure the Chinese were the only ones to make stamped receivers, and those are rare at that.

I just paid $400 for a 1954 Russian all matching and original in very good condition. Also in on the deal was a very nice bipod, two battle paks of Russian 7.62, some funky brass catcher and two thirty round SKS detachable mag parts kits.

Those deals always seem to be accompanied by $35 or $50 shipping. I saw a nice one get snapped up within an hour for $250 on another message board. He literally posted it 75 minutes before I came across the ad and it was gone with 10 other people already in line hoping it wasn't SPF.

Can you tell me what mine is worth? Just got it, all matching numbers dated 1953/Tula, original sling and has about 500 rounds through it. Only has minor surface corrosion on the bolt...Whatcha think?

It is worth as much as someone is willing to give to you. In Cali that SKS is worth $400.
