    Distributors of old trainer .22s?

Does anyone know where I can pick up some old military training .22lr rifles? Box fed is preferred, but I'm open to single shot and tube fed as well.

    Country doesn't matter.

I'd like to get 2-3 of the same model, if they're affordable enough.

Only one I can think of is CMP, but most of those are incomplete.

There were some Enfield .22s on Samco, but they're not cheap: https://www.samcoglobal.com/1-enfield.html

RTI has some Romanian M69 trainers for $149-$199.

Since you seem to not be stuck on a country or model can I ask what it is for?

Trainers arn't too cheap any more but there are modern 22LR like the Marlin 795 or XT-22 that would be great to teach shooters on.

Or the davey crickett. Perfect rifle for a beginner; really slows down the process and they're even fun after you move up to something more substantial. I shoot my Nephew's all the time at the rimfire range at Sac Valley. I laugh like an 8 year old every time I hit a metal target...

Sweet, and it looks like they've been knocked down even further in price, but their website seems to be down, at least for me.

I like rimfire, these will be for teaching, but also just personal enjoyment. I'd prefer to spend $150 and get real wood, old-world hand manufacturing, and bit of history. I already have a Savage MKII in a plastic stock, and it does the job just fine, I'm just looking for a little personality.

I got a beautiful Polish trainer from Centerfire Systems for $249 when they had a free shipping deal. C&R eligible, too.

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
              Come on...what harm??

Ordered up one from Royal Tiger. Site is just slow to load. Can't go wrong for $150.

Ahh, not C&R is definitely a dealbreaker. Don't want to have to go through DROS for this.

I don't know if they still have it or what the price is, but last time I was in "The Shootist" in Murrieta they had a nice pre-WW2 Mauser .22 trainer that is about the same size and weight as a 98k.

I haven't seen one in a long time, but the French made MAS 45 version of the Mauser .22 trainer is a real nice rifle. These were available in the mid 1980's for around $130-$140 in mint unissued condition.

There are those Polish and Russian .22 trainers that are set up kind of like a Mosin.

If nice examples of the Romanian .22 trainers are fetching $200, maybe it's time to put mine up for sale.

I believe there is an Enfield .22 for sale on the Trader here also.

Iver Johnson also imported the little Erma carbines and sold them under their own name at one time. Magazines for these are very hard to find and quite expensive, so anyone who is considering acquirine one of these make sure it has the mag. I think there are couple for sale right now on Ebay or Gunbroker at an affordable price.

Crossman also made an M1 carbine b.b. gun that had the same size and weight as an original.
