1903a3 front sight help

I have a 03a3 from Remington, serial number 3850***, with a barrel date of 6-43. The rifle has a newer C stock. Anyways my question is in regards to the front sight. My rifle has a square front sight, and I can not figure out if it is military issue.


can anyone identify this front sight?

That is an aftermarket oversized site blade, probably from Brownells or such.
Made to file down for a custom fit
