    C&R selling

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this. I was wondering the legalities on how to sell a C&R rifle to somebody if I do not have a C&R licence? Does it matter if they have a C&R licence or not?

Face to face to anybody who lives in the state, license or not. This is set to change in 2014 in California.

"Anybody who is a California resident over 18 and legal to own a firearm" would be a better response

To the OP - you can also sell to and ship to anyone in the other 56 states that has an 03FFL and you can mail/ship it directly to them.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

In California if you are selling to another California resident then the C&R long gun would also have to be at least 50 years old if you want to avoid going through a dealer for the transfer. This is true even if the buyer has a C&R FFL.

If you are selling to an out of state resident who has a C&R FFL then you can sell C&R long guns and C&R handguns of any age without going through a dealer.

If you are selling to an out of state resident who is not an FFL then you need to ship or deliver the firearm to an FFL in the buyer's State.
