    Today's C&R shoot results - with pictures.

I am falling more and more in love with the CZ-52, every range trip I love it more.

Today's C&R pistols of course are my CZ-52 and my S&W .38 revolver (grandpa's duty gun).

I was going to ditch the dirty low load on the 38 but to be frank, it shoots fine and saves me powder.. or having to go out and buy trailboss.

So, today's load for the 7.62x25:
COL: 1.38 (MAX) cant go any longer than this for the Magazine, in fact had some issues at this length, might shorten a tad.
    Brass: Starline (new)
Bullet: Speer 110gr Hot Cor Soft Point .30 cal carbine bullet
Powder: 4.3g Red Dot (up one tenth from last time) No pressure signs, a gain of about 100 fps. Brass landed at my feet (unlike the Sellier and Belliot)

Had my first mis-fire of a hand load in nearly 20 years of reloading! I was shaken pretty bad, a dud. I don't make duds. Took it home and disassembled. No POWDER. Yes, that is right. I failed on my powder visual. On the plus side, I factory crimp the necks to factory size (.329) so I suffer none of the set-back issues others complain about. The neck tension prevented the primer from even pushing the bullet out more than 2 tenths. So dud, but no squib in the barrel! Yikes.

This gun is pretty damn precise for a 60 year old communist pistol. I would litterally trust my life to this hand-gun. Reliable, precise, accurate (more than me) and packing 45ACP energy. My feel of control of the weapon his high. I like it more every time out.

Ended the day with .38 Special.

This old standby is a great piece. Maybe if NY cops (this is a Bronx pistol) still carried this firearm there would have been no collateral damage. *shrug* A good gun is always good.

My grandfather, carried that revolver every day on duty in the Bronx. I have his holster (audley) and bullet belt as well.
