Mosin M44(1943) Value

Well after much shooting and trials, I have come to conclusion that I like Mausers over Mosin.

I am thinking about selling my 1943 M44 or trading it.

A little info

1943 Izhevsk M44
All matching
Bore is dark but Sharp rifling
Great Shooter
Rare M44 (50,000 only made that year)

What is the retail value for something like this. Looking to maybe get a RC K98 or another sweet mauser. I have a all matching Vet bringback K98(which never gets shot) and a yugo 24/47/.

Again any help would be great guys

That is a trial rifle not a lot more than any m44, the hex receiver is a little more rare.

I will put a value of $300 to $350 on todays market.

keep it, hang on wall, might come in handy when SHTF and you find yourself with

only 54R ammo for some reason.

Plus, you can always use it to show other shooters the diff between Mauser and Mosin.

I wouldn't sell it for less than $300 since YOU know it is a 'great shooter', partly because of your 'transaction costs' and it being a 'gun sale' etc.

$300-$350. Probably more towards $350, I've seen 44 tulas (more common) hit $300.

I have 2 other M44's and 2 m38's i collect mostly garands and like mausers but will keep the rest of mosins. Not to into collecting rare ones though

it looks like my 1944 M 44 i bought a month or so ago for $169 from aim,except mine has partial sling inserts instead of only front sling slot pieces like yours. values? they seem to be asking $300 for them now since aim sold the 160 they had.

i bought a 1955 Romanian M-44. i have never fired a Mouser and i am sure they are nice. i just love everything about my M-44. i think i will get a few more.

i do not understand the popularity of 38s over 44 for some people. the 44 looks way cooler.
is it because they are pre war and scarcer. ? i almost bought a 38 for 350 but it does not seem to bother me not to get it. i doubt i would shoot it like my 44.
