    Laminate Stock Hex Mosin 91/30

Are the Laminate stocks that come with Hex Mosin 91/30s replacement stocks that were swapped while rearsenaling?

I am asking this because hex receiver Mosins were made prior to 1930s and did Russians have laminate stocks on their guns during that time?

Planning to buy one from Jgsales, only if they are original stocks.

    thanks

I cannot say for certain. 7.62x54r.net shows laminate stock examples designated as 'post war rearsenal' for 91/30, and m38/m44 as original manufacture:

I always thought all laminates were post-war anyway. Have I been wrong all this time?

According to link above, M38 and M44s had original laminate stocks (in small quantities), but they were produced in their correct years with laminate stocks

Replacement stocks during re arsenal no need to have laminated stocks before 1930 or they were not available

Laminate stocks were introduced early 1944ish for carbines. IIRC, the laminate stocks for 91/30s are post-war replacements.
