FFL 03 worth it after this year?

So I turned 21 last June, and have been procrastination in sending my 03 application in, and since the dreaded 2014 bull**** is coming up, I'm still wondering if it's even worth it to apply? ( I've been poking around Simpson ltd and samco's website for months looking for a no.4 mk 2 enfield, k98k and maybe a eddystone m1917 )

You still have a year and some change to purchase guns before AB 809 goes into effect. You'll also still receive discounts at places like midway and brownells.

I'm personally confused as to whether we can actually still order long guns and pay the BS reg fee, or if we have to do the work around like with c&r hand guns, where we have to route them through an out of state 01 FFL and personally collect them with out c&r in person.

Buy like there is no tomorrow

I predict AB809 to go down in flames. If you can spend $30 on a C&R lic you can donate $30 to CGF, they will need it when they fight this.

Still, buy like there is no tomorrow

Get a COE with your C&R, then you will be exempt, and can continue to do mail order of C&R rifles and FTF purchases of C&R rifles after 1 JAN 2014

its as hard as finding $100 in your wallet and then filling out a form and going to a Livescan location to get your fingerprints scanned. Wait a couple weeks and check the mail.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

It has other perks too, No wait period for C&R handgun purchases from an 01FFL, and you will also be exempt from the 1 new handgun per 30 day law.

Provided OOS sellers will still sell to CA. The more do-do CA piles on, the less OOS folks want to deal with us.

The CFLC law that went into effect 01 July 2008 chilled a lot of OOS dealers. This may be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

I personnaly think (hope) AB809 will die a horrible death but inpreperation of the opposite, buy buy buy!!
Plus a C&R is still very good to go outside of Ca.

I just bought a couple of handguns in Az and the DOJ has updated their registration form to include long guns. So after 2014 we will need C&R, COE + $19 per rifle if we order or buy out of state.

You currently do not need a COE to acquire C&R handguns while physically out of state. And you won't need a COE to acquire C&R long guns while physically out of state after 2014. The COE is only good for acquisitions that happen inside of California (which includes stuff shipped to you in California).
