Laminated M91/30 From Centerfire Systems **UPDATED With Pics**

    I ordered one of these:

on 07/28/12. I emailed a copy of my C&R PRIOR to placing the order. I received an email a few days AFTER placing the order asking which FFL I want the rifle sent to.

ME! I said over the phone. I confirmed that they received and accepted my C&R license.

As of 08/09/12 I still haven't gotten any notice that the rifle has shipped out.

Any feedback from others who bought one of these or who have bought from Centerfire Systems before please weigh in. I am getting a bit antsy about this whole transaction.... My credit card HAS been charged.

Got one from them back in June. Never got an order update after order was placed. I emailed them after 2 weeks and they responded with the tracking number. Just in time too, the delivery date was the following day.

This item is temporarily out of stock.
      Backorders are being accepted.
Maybe that has something to do with it? You won't know for sure until you make contact with them.

I noticed this when I logged on yesterday. However I placed the order a while back when they were still showing 'in stock'.

I ordered one of these July 3O and received it Wednesday. It took 3 days to
ship, had to ask via email for the tracking #. They charged me for shipping but refunded after I emailed. Not the best service, but not the worst either.

I'd call them if you have a question about your order.

So I just received my 3 rifles (they shipped last Friday from what I been told that day when I changed my order from 2 to 3), and arrived today Friday. Shipping was free (except for the signature charge).

            1 1937 round Izhevsk
            1 1943 round Izhevsk
            1 1933 hex Tula

Guess which one I'm keeping for my collection?

Non-matching, shallow electro-stencil #s on some bolts and mag floor plates. Still plenty of cosmo, need to clean those bores to see how shiny they are, but they look sharp. Typical rearsenaled surplus.

Wood looks great, although the upper forearm piece on one of them looks like it's not laminated but regular wood - but in new condition, probably the result of a late rearsenal.

Downside is that obvious (and hard to avoid at that price) import mark from Century, but overall a pretty good deal for laminated Mosins.

Will post pics if anyone is interested - probably sometime next week.

A Hex in a laminate stock is defiantly not it's original stock.
Was it broken and changed out or was it done during post war refurbishment.. we will never know but if it has electopencil and mismatches I would say post war..

My understanding was that all laminated Mosins were post-war anyway.

Without looking it up I am 90% sure they started appearing in 1943 which would still be war years.

Most are, yes. But, some laminate stocks were used on some carbines IIRC late 43/early 44 timeframe.
