    Parts suppliers for C&R's

I did a search of this forum looking for posts about where you go to look for parts and didn't find any... So, I am in need of a part for a M1 Carbine, Universal, made in 1962, the Trigger Housing Pin is missing. I also need a couple 10 rd magazines for this same rifle.

    1) are there any dealers in the Sacramento area that carry parts for this old gun and probably others?

    2) What online sources do you use to find parts for your old guns?

I found Numrich (https://www.gunpartscorp.com) and they have the part I need. $2.45 and $4.95 to ship it (Silly me, I'm reluctant to pay 2X the cost of the part for shipping!) and they don't have the magazines I need in stock.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

Whatever you find as parts are concerned for you M1 Carbine do not go here...http://riverbankarmory.com/ A lot of the parts are not original. You are safe here with Bill Ricca @ http://www.billricca.com/ Some gun shows have good venders and some maybe questionable. Just do your homework on what you are looking for first. At times you may find other CalGun members offering parts and service for your toys as well. Also you can check this web sight out www.gunbroker.com and it is safe and secure. I as well as other have bought and sold here too. Numrich is also very good.

Just call Numrich, they give you a coupon code that takes off the price of shipping.

Universal is not GI but many GI parts fit the old ones.Post some pics of it.You may be SHOL looking for parts because Universal went under about 25+ years or so and there were many changes in design.Numrich might be the only outlet for parts if they aren't GI.Try cross referencing the part numbers for the Universal to a Inland on the Numrich sight

Mine is one of the very early ones. It has a four digit serial number. I'm pretty sure the pin I ordered today will fit. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Like Nitro Express! says, call Numrich during working hours. You will hear a tape recording saying you can order on the phone, but if you'd like to order online, here's a code, good for I think $4.95 (essentially free shipping), that day only. I've done this lots of times.

              buymilsurp.com Great stuff there.

Numrich code: Call their order number 866-686-7424, press 1. then listen for the code. just saved me 4.95 ordering parts for an SVT 40.
