Agreed. At their "sale" price, I wouldn't buy this stuff when SGAmmo has great prices for the milsurp. Just pour your barrel out with some water immediately after shooting to flush the corrosive salts out, clean as normal, and you're GTG.

Now, if it were the same price as the milsurp, or very close to it, then yeah, that'd be worth it. Remember, it's Berdan primed, not Boxer, thus not practically reloadable for most people.

Has anyone tried the X-treme bullet "7.62X39- 123 FP" .312 diameter for target plink at the range in their 54R? I know these copper plated can't be pushed too hard and need a crimp but I've heard folks have used them to 2100 fps in other calibers. The company only recommends 1500 fps max. My bore is .313.

At .10 cents each it would cut my reload cost down to $4 a box(similar to milsurp) from $8.30 pushing a nice Hornady 150 gr. SP in .312

I'm going to be trying the .30 cal rounds in my lever next week from X-treme and fully intend to push the 2100 fps barrier. I'll let you know how that goes.

Reloadable? WHO CARES? At 18 cents per round shipped you can't reload 7.62x54R for that!
