Can anyone help me figure out the second line of this stamp?

        Thank you very much.

When you say 'old', any idea how old?

Thanks. So if I'm reading this right, this mark (#47) indicates this was CAI's first import of M44s?

I tried to look up some history on CAI, so see what years they were in St. Albans, VT but I'm having a hard time finding anything. I'd really like to figure out what year this example came into the US, and if it was one of the first to make the trip over?

Century Arms Inc., St. Albans, Vermont.

Very common timestamp from one of the largest importer of C&Rs in the country.

If you want to know when this gun was imported, your best bet is to contact CAI yourself with the serial #.
