    50 caliber buckskinner rifle

    I just received a 50 caliber buckskinner rifle and would like to know what actual size bullet it uses and what load do they usually take and will the bullet need a pad, thanks for any help............................Paul

      It takes a .490 round ball, with a lubricated patch and 50-75 grains of FFG black powder.
      Or, there are various types of cast bullets that you put lube on and don't need a patch.
      Don't forget you also need percussion caps, either #10 or #11.
