Did you get it from the CMP? if so, I would contact customer service and they will take care of you.Next to me in the blackness lay my oiled blue steel beauty. The greatest Christmas gift I had ever received, or would ever receive. Gradually, I drifted off to sleep, pringing ducks on the wing and getting off spectacular hip shots.

There can be several factors to this issue. Show us a picture of the bolt face. The wear on the pin looks like it may protrude way to far from the bolt face. AGAIN, DO NOT FIRE THIS RIFLE AT THIS TIME. IT COULD CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH."TRUST BUT, VERIFY"

Just curious, as I've never seen anything like this before.
How/why did it happen? I had never even heard of primer flow.sigpic

Check the firing pin protrusion. On an Ordinance M1 rifle it should be .044" min and .59" max. (later it was revised to M14 max. of .060". Check it out with a new firing pin and see what you got."TRUST BUT, VERIFY"

This is why that firing pin measurement device that comes with Mosin's is so important, I guess. Anything like that available for the Garand?I know I'm gonna get got, but I'm going to get mine more than I get got though.Originally posted by Enfield47I'm rooting for the allied team, I think we won last time but I can't remember. I just remember it was a lot of fun.

I completely forgot about this thread. Before reading the thread, I did fire about 40 rounds through it and didn't have any problems. I'll take a picture of the bolt face and upload it ASAP.
I'm not sure if this is a CMP rifle. Is there anyway I can tell?
I bought it used from another Calguns member in June and have shot it once with no issues.
I'll update this soon with bolt face pictures.Comment
