Yep, once it's out of jail, post pics, please! An original design M1891 is not too common anymore these days.

Pics when it gets out. If it's all original matching it should have some early features that most M91s don't have.

What are the chances... maybe one in 10,000?? LOL

Probably a Finn with Konovalov rear sight, recoil bolt and sling slots, but maybe we will be surprised this time

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

NOTABIKER, ever thought of getting a C&R license? That way you don't have to wait for jail sentence to end. Also, we won't have to wait in suspense to see your 1905 and future Mosins.

Yeah, pretty slim. Still, there is that one that was found a year or two ago, and there's that 1900 Tula with early features that just sold a couple days ago for $2800.

i'm gonna show my ignorance here but what was the importation source for a mosin from thirty years ago? i've assumed all along that they only came here after the cold war ended (other than the few german captures from ww2 that were sold here as milsurp)

Finland, Spain, and bring-backs from Korea and Vietnam.

Finnish mosins were imported from the late 50s to the late 90s, spanish civil war mosins were imported in the 50s.

edit: Plus, some of the U.S. built M91s never left the U.S.
