    Required Swiss Postal Shoot Rules.

    From Diaopter
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cost: $6.00 per shooter per category to cover expenses of target, postage and envelopes and perhaps a prize fund. Two categories will cost you $9.00 and three will be $12.00

Course of fire: 12 shots on a Swiss A10 target reduced to 100yrd. Official targets (will have a signature on the back) will be supplied to participants. Scoring will be by points, not by grouping.

    These 12 shots will be:
6 slow-fire in 6 minutes or less (these can be scoped individually), followed by
6 shot rapid-fire in 60 seconds or less (no spotting scope till last shot).
N.B. Have your spotter write down the scores as you go along. Rapid-fire scores should read from highest to lowest. (e.g. 10, 10, 9, 8, 8, 7) Time starts from the first rapid fire shot

Rests: Only a front rest will be allowed. The butt must be held and controlled by the shooter. Any sling is allowed.

Distance: 100yds for the reduced to 100yd. A10 targets.
Swiss club shooters can double up on a similar existing 300m Swiss club program (must have same number of slow and rapid-fire shots). New for 2009: A 10 shot Program can be used if you club does not have a 12 shot version. Copies of your Standbltt score sheet must be in tens or I will be forced to give you the lower possible scoring based on the A5 scoring (e.g. a 5 will be scored as 9, not a 10). Only Swiss programs shot between the beginning and final date of this postal shoot will be accepted as valid 300m entries.

Rifles allowed: Any individual rifle that was accepted in Swiss military service.
    Vetterli, 1889, 1893, 96, 96/11, 1911, K11, K31 and K31/55.

    Six Categories:
    1) Iron sights: Includes original or aftermarket notch sights.
    2) Diopter sights: Includes any competition style easily adjustable rear sight with either blade or aperture front sight inserts or any plain peep rear sight.
    3) Scope sights.
    4) Pre 1889 rifles with iron sight: These will be twelve shots slow fire only in deference to the single shot rifles like the Martini. Vetterlis will be in this category.
5(a)Prone, diopter type sighted Swiss military rifle: sling only for support, 200yds or meters. A different target will be supplied for this one. It will be a scaled down A10.
5(b) Same, but for Swiss Match Rifles

New category is 5(c) service rifle with scope, sling, prone 200yds, or 300 if you have both 300yd range and equivalent Swiss A10 or ISSF 300m target.

    6) PE90 variants and Stg57 variants, original bipods allowed. 6(a) irons, 6(b) scoped

Members of any Swiss Rifle Club can use score receipts( or manual generic score sheets)from 300m electronic targets systems for score( or any scaled down version of the Swiss A10 target or the ISSF 300m target so long as the distance shot at is within reasonable scale, yds to meters is fine).
Eg 200m/yds scaled down targets shot at 200m/yds.
Scoresheets must be signed by a witness. Clubs can use their own club targets, I will not ask for the shot targets.
Pictures would be nice, if possible.
Otherwise it's 100yd/meter distance with targets supplied by myself for categories 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 200 yd targets supplied by myself for category 5.

Ammo: Unlike Swiss programs, reloads will be allowed , on ranges where that is allowed.

Information: Entries must give with their entry
    1) Real name
    2) Forum name
    3) Mailing address
    4) Email address
    5) Which Category(s)
    Email your entry to: carlos.da.silva@sympatico.ca
I will tell you how to pay your fee after receiving your entry.

    And with the returned target(s).
    1) Filled out supplied scorecard with witness signature
    2) Rifle ser.# and model
    3) Ammo used.
    4) Scoring order, such as slow-fire 9,8,7,10, 10, 9 and rapid-fire: 10, 10, 9, 8 ,8, 7.
300m. Swiss Club members must say at which club they shot it and send a photocopy of the original dated and witnessed standbltt(score sheet), done either manually or electronically by the Sius or Polytronics systems. I do not expect to get those 300m targets.

We strongly encourage forum members to shoot this postal shoot together whenever possible. The camaraderie is an important part of Swiss shooting.

    Good luck to all.

    Practice!!!!
And make sure your rifles are sighted in before taking a shot on the official targets

    Entry deadline: Aug15th.2012

Deadline for returning targets is Oct31, 2012 , postmark.
