Sure is a nice looking 1873, has it been reblued at one time?

It's gorgeous! I'm sure it's fun to shoot.

I may never shoot it. I will get a replica as a shooter.

ball park pricing on this model 1873 made in 1881.??? I get wild numbers on its value from site to site.

I have run the serial number and it is not a fake or miss mach gun.

It looks like it was reblued and the wood sanded. If so that is a shame unless it was done by the factory or a well know gunsmith, it ruins the value.Search this forum there is a post on dating old winchesters by a member with a lot of knowledge of them. His name is TRAP55.Here is a link to that post.

All I can say is dont let it go to waste by not shooting it, I shoot my 1873 (mfg 1876) as often as I can, Love it.
