    CMP, ugh!!!!!!!

What the heck are they doing over there, I know that they have a lot of orders and only have so much manpower but I think that if they tell you you're going to get it in a certain time frame they should at least give you a fair warning that your order will be outside these stated parameters, they should know that people plan trips and allocate their paychecks in order to purchase from them and this clear indifference for our resources has got to stop, now my plans and my wallet are taking a big detour, thanks cmp

Oh btw sent in my order 6/11, and got an email this morning that it shipped
and its a january 1945 SA SG
now I have to start buying m2 a few paychecks sooner than anticipate, there goes the beer budget

Be patient: it is more than worth the wait.

Man, these youngsters today have it easy. I remember when it was 1-2 YEARS for you to get your rifle from them, when they were still DCM. And you were only allowed to get one during your entire lifetime. And for marksmanship activity, you actually had to shoot a highpower match or clinic.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

X2 of what he said about the once in a lifetime through the DCM and the very long wait. IIRC I waited a little over a year. It was so long of a wait that I had forgotten all about it till a registered long box came in one day.

My advice is get as many M1 as possible as they are now about to sunset and all the current Greek return will be gone. My guess is in about a year these good times will be history

When I went out there to volunteer, the employee they had me working with said that they had maybe enough parts at that time to do 100,000 more Garands. You're right. It's not going to last forever.

Not sure what they are going to do at that point. Maybe they will weld up the "evil" holes on the M-14 receivers and use those...? Maybe they will focus more on Rimfire and keep that going...? Maybe they'll start putting together some of their more rare stuff and auction that off (I saw a cabinet full of original, BNIB IHC parts when I was out there )

at that point, when everything they have available for sale is gone, they will get out of the sales business and focus entirely on the marksmanship programs. The entire "point" of the sales program is to fund the endowment that they have the money to run the marksmanship programs.
