    Here you go Mosin Freaks.

Looks like the price went up a few bucks on crates, still, buy them before you start panicking when they break a 100$.

I buy a crate and shoot it full of holes with my Mauser and Hakim just to see you guys freak. Well Classic arms had crates up for a while, then took it down when they put their new web site up. Now it seems to buy up in the New Section :P

Can you buy a crate from a dealer without a C&R?

I remember the old group buy for SD, that didn't go well. But I would love a mosin.

If you want to have them sent to a local FFL to DROS them to you, you could do that. My favorite shop up here in Norcal charges $40 for the first and $10 each after that. So with the $25 DROS fee it would be $255 more than buying with a C&R, plus they would collect sales tax on the total.

I think it would be cheaper to get an 03.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Well be careful on the group buy. Last guy who did that went into the hole big time.

yah that unfortunately turned into a cluster ****...

                            The Good:
                            - If you got your rifles they were awesome.
                            - The chance to be able to see so many different mosins in on crate was an experience...
                            - Some of them were freaking excellent quality. A bunch of Calgunners got an honestly bad *** deal (hex mosin, great wood, matching numbers, interesting markings, great barrel, great price)

                            The Bad:
                            - The guy that ran it is still getting harrassed since the trip was... semi-succesful but overtly ambitious.

I guess my point is if you have the resources to do the trip it's not impossible, I would say front the money yourself, and once you have picked out what you want, sell the rest instead of trying to collect and fulfill everyones desires...

If you are honestly looking for some great quality Mosin's that would be the way to go. Talk about real handpicking. I think the highest quality Mosin's I've seen were from the San Diego Mosin Group Buy...

yeah a huge CF and thousands of dollars down the hole. I think if somewhere was going to do this again....It would be best just to grab the whole crate, bring back to SD then just post it on the WTS thread and I guarantee you people will jump on it. That way don't have to worry about people flaking out and such.
