Using original stock on Artillery Luger in CA?

I have done a search on google and Calguns, but cant find the answer to tis specific question. I am pretty sure Artillery Lugers with original and repro stocks are exempt from NFA status due to being C&R, but are there any problems with using the stock in CA? Could you point me to specific laws or exemptions....

    Any AW issues?

    Thanks

there are certain lugers with shoulder stocks that are exempt from the NFA, you do need to confirm that your model is specifically listed as exempt, "just being 50 years old does not exempt it from NFA". but if it is exempt from NFA as being a specified C&R then it is exempt from CA's SBS law.

But, it is not exempt from CA's AW law, so you still can't attach the shoulder stock on it in CA. detachable magazine with pistol grip, plus being <30" OAL.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

There is no C&R exemption to CA's assault weapons laws.

That's why you don't see too many m1 carbine paratroopers.

              like this? heheheh

I dunno, hard to imagine the Sac heads would find this as an assault weapon but hey, if they can pass the Mcdonalds bill, close the "loope hole" on the bullet bullet it would only make sense.

Legal to possess a Mauser C96 and an unattached shoulder stock.
Illegal to attach the shoulder stock to the Mauser C96, while in CA. Because it would be an assault weapon due to the overall length being less than 30". [PC 30515(a)(3)]

Illegal to possess a Mauser C96 that used detachable magazines. Because it would be an assault weapon due to accepting detachable magazines outside the pistol grip. [PC 30515(a)(4)(D)]

Yeah, like some freak is going to buy a C96 and shoulder holster to rob a bank with, rather than something a little bit more practical.
