Are you cycling live rounds inside your house?!?

That's a mean round I would pull the firing pin is working with a live round......

And do it at a range...

Please don't encourage OP to work with a live round. Buy some snap caps. Cheaper than having to deal with a ND.

Haha don't worry guys i may be retarded but I'm not dumb. The firing pin has been out since I stripped and soaked all the parts in simple green after I shot her. Just to make sure she was sparkly clean. I have to borrow my buddies gauge to measure the firing pin depth, there's no way I'm gonna have a working rifle that could penetrate a primer if it was screwed too far in.
Sorry for the lack of pics and poor response time, all this week I've been at work all day then have an hour before classes till late. Then I'm just dead. Back to school this week for the first time in almost seven years, it's been exciting to say the least.

alright boys and girls, i finally got a couple minutes and took pictures of the problem at hand and even took a video! hopefully the damned thing works, i tried uploading the video to photobucket and found out that it was upside down! friggan iphones... then the movie editor i have on my computer would only let me save it in some wierd format that photobucket couldn't upload, so i also made my first youtube clip today! video first followed by pics i could snap real quick of the bolt in and out of the rifle as well as one of the ejector/interrupter with the bolt out of the way.

sorry you have to click the link, idk how in the hell to imbed a video on calguns..

When my Mosin gets ejectile dysfunction, I lubricate everything inside the receiver and it works fine after (but I let it sit).

*Usually the only times I've had ejection issues were when the lube was a little on the dry side of things. YMMV

Thanks for the suggestion, that was my first thought when I noticed this happen, that's part of why I soaked all metal in simple green then scrubbed the ever loving hell out of it all with a toothbrush then oiled everything like a new AR owner lubes his rifle. The thing was practically dripping with hoppes gun oil. But no change

If you haven't already, gotta work it baby! Yeah, last time this happened, I re-oiled it, worked it, let it sit there---and about two weeks later when I went to the range (I had already forgotten about the ejectile dysfunction).

Is the protrusion on the extractor worn? Hard to tell since it's kinda blurry.

Where are you located? Maybe someone local can look at it for you.

Did anyone suggest cosmo gumming up the works? Where did your buddy buy the rifle from? Did he take it apart to clean the cosmo?
