7.62x54r Chamber Inserts?

Anybody ever use one of the .32 cal or 7.62x25 chamber inserts in their mosins? Seems almost useless to me but I think it would be pretty fun just to mess around with, plus it might help first timers shoot a mosin before handling the real deal.

I had heard that they cause split cases and almost always need digging out of the inserts after firing. Only heard from one person about them though, so I don't know if he was doing something wrong, or was correct in his accusations of a faulty product. I can honestly say though, I'd buy a few to give them a try if i had the spare cash.

I have three of them for my break open 12 gauge. 22lr, 9mm and 45acp. What a hoot.
The insert is ejected with the spent shell. I like shooting 45 out of it, no kick at all.
22 and 9 are just as fun. Just slow going is all.

I've got a .32ACP insert for 7.62x54R. The insert extracts like a normal shell, and most times the .32 case will fall out of the insert, although sometimes it may need a tap on the bench. The only drawback is accuracy sucks (bullet size is different). I think I used it once, and was spraying the target at 25yds.

I also have a .308 insert, and that one works better, at least it groups.

I have a great time with the inserts. The .32 slides out of the insert no problem.
With the 7.62x25 tokerev insert, the shell tends to want to stick in there.

I use it for plinking at close stuff , pistol plates and whatnot. Its not for extreme accuracy but I get around 2" groups @ 50yds. I use the .32 S&W Long. Reloading the .32 is real easy and cheap.

Zero recoil and low noise perfect for small kids. The .32 is recommeded for carbine length only
