    Empire Arms experience

Hi all, I'm new to the forums and new to the firearms purchasing arena.

I'm looking to start a C&R collection and I was wondering how you guys would rate Empire Arms? Do you find their prices reasonable? Are they easy to deal with?

Also, are there any other online dealers you would recommend?

    Thanks!

What are you looking for? There is a sticky at the top of the forum with vendors.

He is out of his mind if he thinks his email method for credit cards is secure, but I don't recall hearing anything negative about them otherwise, and a lot of positive.

        Discussed at length here:

Empire is great, Dennnis Kroh backs everyone of his guns with a buy back garuntee, he's a great guy to work with.

Happy with the 2 M39's I got from him last year. His website and credit card ordering methods are archaic but he seems to have a good variety of older rifles and frequently gets new ones in. One thing I was impressed with was how he wrapped the rifles he shipped to me. Plenty of extra padding and bubble wrap.

Bought several guns from him. Great guy, great experience. The premium you pay for some of those rifles is the price for a super-accurate and honest description, and knowing that they've been hand-picked by an expert.

I like him and his guns are nice. He listed the wrong caliber for the Arisaka I purchased from him, but my bad for not double checking.

Thanks guys for all the responses! I'm thinking of starting off the collection with a Mosin... Either the M28/30 or M39. I'll keep you all informed.

                      Cheers

All of these guys have layers of listings. Sign up for his mailing list and do the same for some of the other sites like Classic etc. If you are on the mailing list you will get links to pre sale lists before they go up on the site. You can also put in wtb orders with Empire as the guy is on the road buying all the time and he claims he will fill wtb orders.

That pretty much sums up everything I have heard about them online. They are on the high side for their prices, but the guns are normally the cream of the crop. I have also heard that he has some issues with his CC system, but I don't know one way or the other. I have not purchased anything from them, however. His pictures and descriptions are usually dead-on though.

Dennis at Empire is the man! You get what you pay for. I have never been disappointed with a purchase.

Sign up for his e-mail list, most of the good stuff sells off of that list and never makes it to his website. I just missed a beautiful British No. 5 this morning. Drat!

And what other vendor offers to buy back any gun he's sold you for at least 80% of what you paid?
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
                            Come on...what harm??
