Well, technically this is a C&R

Decided to post up a few pics of my new baby. Sorry its not a military firearm, but is still pretty classic and beautiful. Belgian Browning Sweet Sixteen A5. All numbers match, SN dates it to about 1951.

    Shot really nicely too!

Nice shotgun. Yes, it's definitely in the Curio & Relic category.

Sometimes people forget that C&R is not synonymous with MilSurp.

I hope you plan to shoot it and not just hide it away in some dark and lonely safe.

Took her out today. This one will definitely see a lot of range time.

My Wife's Uncle in Washington is a total gun nut & he still laments the day he sold his Sweet 16.
That Sir, is a C&R, no doubt about it!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

                Beautiful!!!
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

for what its worth, this thing was the hardest firearm I have ever worked on. 2.5 hours of looking at a pile of parts thinking "My God, why did I think I should disassemble this and clean it"

Been looking for one for a while. Went into the gun shop and my friend who owns it says "We just got something in the back that I think you are going to want" Fell in love with it. Some of my friends were giving me a hard time about getting a 16ga instead of a 12, but man is this thing a sweet shooter. Shoulders very naturally for me and makes a good companion for my Browning Double Auto.

I will! With my shoulder issues, I will be looking at some C&R semi-auto shotguns, now!

Bruce, you would be hard pressed to find something cooler than and with less recoil than an A5. The thing is a sweetheart. I am trying to find one of those nice Browning fitted cases for it now.

Bruce, also look at the older Beretta AL300/301/302/303s . Gas Operated and even less recoil than the A5.

Cody, nice on the A5. I still say the 12 would have been my choice like I told you a couple of weeks ago, but I'm glad you got it.
