    Swiss Rifles are Ridiculous...

I finally got to take my K31 out to the range last weekend. My Brother got it for me as a Christmas Present last year and I've just been too busy to shoot lately.

I had never fired any of the swiss variants before and I wasn't really ready for the results. On my first string, I fired 6 shots at 50 yards, 3 of which were touching!

Why didn't anyone tell me these things are ridiculously precise!!!

Now that I know what's up, I'm thinking of adding a 1911 to my collection. With a longer barrel and greater separation between the sights, I'm guessing the 1911s are amazing, as well.

If you don't have a Swiss, you're missing out!!!

I accept full blame. I've been extremely negligent in not posting about these very odd rifles. Please accept my deepest apologies.

Well, yeah... You are pretty fanatical about them but I don't always believe everything I read.

I'm sorry I didn't take you more seriously...

Why not go for an '89, even longer sight radius --

Swiss watch, Swiss knives, swiss *#$$4 HELLO!!!! yeah they are pretty damn accurate. Ever watch the old timers shooting with thier custom loads of lead? Damn bullets look long as hell but groups are a dime @ 100yds. Time to BLM that baby and take it to 200-400 maybe further. I'm sure it can be done easily. Nice score btw don't ever get rid of it.

The M1911 doesn't have much more sight radius, maybe 2 inches. I do find the M1911 length makes it significantly steadier and easier (for me) to shoot iron sights.

Please stop talking about Swiss rifles. We are running out and need zero more as competitiors.

Can those handle the GP11 ammo? I've been reading online about the different variants but I am still a bit "unlearned" in the ins-and-outs of all things Schmidt-Rubin...

                        c---rydr --
No, the '89 can not digest gp-11 ammo --
The bore is a bit tight for .308 bullets as well --
                        I used 308 cast bullets and 30/30 loadings --

                          Whoa! I wasn't paying attention. The '89 is Caliber - 7.5x53.5 Swiss (GP90 )
