Wolf in Garand in my book is very bad jojo. You should always have a stash of at least a few thousand M2 ball so you will never be in "a pinch" situation. When all said and done, logistics/supply wins war.

I am just getting supplied up to reload. So I will be set then no matter what. I will buy a few more cases of the CMP ammo then I can reload those for a long time. Should keep me going just fine.

As you've figured out the standard advice is to buy all you can afford from the CMP while they have it, and save or reload the brass after that.

Interesting your tracking says noon - usually it's 10:30 but maybe it's because you're in the boonies. :-)

I've shot golden tiger and wolf military classic through my sks without any issues, easily over 1000 rounds

I been shooting Wolf gold 8mm mauser through a couple of my rifles and it shoots great. Better than my surplus for sure.

That's because Wolf Gold is made in Serbia, not Russia.

The Serbs have been making great brass cased 8mm Mauser ammo for their military for almost 100 years. The Russians don't have as good a track record with 30-06.

It's illegal to import, manufacture, sell, offer for sale or lend more than 10 rounds linked together in California. Possession is legal though.

Hope you get an accurate/collectable/historical/attractive rifle tomorrow and not a junker. Buying M1's from the CMP is like compulsive gambling.. Very addictive.

11:35 and Fed ex is not here yet!!!! Nothing like waiting till the last minute. They say it is out for delivery on the tracking. So just waiting for the truck! I hope it is a nice one!
