I submitted my CVA Paramount recall and requested an exchange and a few days later CVA said I need to find a FFL to ship from/to per California law. It is a muzzleloader that can't be easily converted to a cartridge rifle as it doesn't have the locking lug cuts in the receiver. I guess it is their game, but there is no California law requiring a muzzleloader go through a FFL or need a DROS? I wrote them back and am waiting for a response.

CA likes to sue people..... Many small shops are terrified of Compliance in CA and the penalty for a perceived error
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
(thanks to Jeff Cooper)
