    M1 Carbine

I picked up this little guy the other day locally for a grand, which in today's market I feel is reasonable enough. Near as I can tell, the serial number dates the Winchester receiver to June 1944 with a 8-44 Underwood barrel. As you would expect, pretty much nothing matches, but the bore is perfect and it came with three GI magazines, an actual WWII, 1943 dated mag pouch and a plastic gun case. I know the M1A1 stock is a repop, but I must say, it's a pretty nice one and since the rest of the carbine is a mutt anyway, I'm going to leave it on there.

$1,000 is very fair. The repop stock alone is worth a couple hundred.

I just sold a plain jane Inland for the "friend price" of $1,150 - that included the sling, oiler, and a USGI 30 round mag. Last month I sold a Blue Sky Winchester to a fellow, and he was overjoyed to get it for $1,000.

I still have two left in the collection. 😁

Ya Did Good on that one.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!
