Are there any older 3/4" tube scopes that are suitable for centerfire rifles? Meaning eye relief and crosshairs not falling apart? I have several older rifles that have been drilled and tapped and use the older Weaver (or lesser known) stamped steel mounts with rings as a single unit. I suppose the Weaver 440 and 330 types would work, however given their cost and age I really don't want to buy and have them fall apart after only a few rounds. I suppose I could buy the new made 1903 repro version, but a brand new scope on a less than pristine rifle looks odd.
I see a fair number of Weaver 3/4" but based on having bought a few they are all suitable for rimfire only.
I recently scrounged this No1 MkIII "Sniper Rifle" for a grand total of $175.00 and the 3/4" scope has loads of eye relief and has held up to a few boxes of 303 ammo -
