I found this MS Model 1908 a while back in Oregon. Griffin & Howe side base plate was there but no mount and ring, no scope. I wasn't paying attention to the base plate and missed that it was a single lever, not the usual G&H dual.

I'd never seen a single lever G&H anywhere, ever. But stumbled across one for the mid $300.00s on EBay. Scope is a Lyman Alaskan 2.5 with post. The peep rear is evidently hard to find. Aperture has a large and small peep and the top is spring hinged to accommodate the bolt. It's an 8X56 Mauser. I reload, brass and bullets easy to find. The previous owner actually rolled up a reloading recipe or two and slipped them into the buttstock.
