    Load-X ammo unusually dirty?

I recently got an old family Colt PPS 32-20 handed down to me. Only reasonably priced (as opposed to $40/box Remington or Winchester) ammo I could find in stock was Load-X brand. After a few dozen rounds, it looked like there was burned yarn in the barrel. Anyone know what powder they use, and is it dirtier than most? Seemed like more residue than I'm used to seeing, but I hadn't shot center-fire pistol in quite a while.

They're out of Santa Rosa, right?

Never bought from them, but peeps on this board have said good things about them, and I was actually thinking about ordering some reloads from them for a few different calibers.

It does tend to be pretty dirty, but functions well. My former agency used to use it, it made cleaning more fun.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I have some 180g .357 that smokes so much I can't shoot it indoors.
Even outside it stinks and makes a mess of my revolver.
Seems to work though, but even for the price, I'm not sure I will buy any more.

Used a lot of their 45acp. About as dirty as when I was loading using bullseye powder.
