I bought a Manuhrin made Walther PP in 32 ACP and it's different than the other Walther, Manuhrin models I already have.

Grips are original, however I presume the gun has been refinished at some point, although the lettering and numbers are sharp. No soft edges anywhere. However any other Walther, Manhurin I've seen and own is pretty nicely bluesd
The serial number on the slide and frame match. Everything works as it should. There is another number stamped on the front handguard -

Worth noting that the above number was stamped before the current finish was attached.
I have a Star 9mm with a similar appearing stamp which designates that it was used by a West German police or constabulary department. Am wondering if anyone has any info on this?
