    Ruger Blackhawk Flat Top

I threw out a $625.00 bid for this and forgot about it - alcohol was not involved in this decision .....

I thought for sure it would go for more than $600.00, even with the "cloudy bore, sharp rifling" advisory.

It's not reblued, the drag line can be dealt with but otherwise looks OK. From positioning of the trigger looks like it's still unconverted from "4 clicks". Am I missing something?

I'm no Blackhawk expert but that's about what I would expect it to go for, a little more local at a brick and mortar store. Good pickup if you're a 44 mag fan!

I'll bet the bore will shine up with some Butch's Bore Shine, Flitz, or something similar. It is a three screw, but how can you tell if it's been converted or not? The description doesn't say. Is the trigger position a giveaway tell?

I'm not going to quite bet my life, but the trigger position sitting far back, grubbed up sides of the hammer and the hammer spur profile indicate "4 clicks".

I'll find out shortly. Having the gun sent to my OR FFL - no sales tax, no "excise tax" and no DROS, background. Arrives Thurs, will PU Friday. Get to try it out in my back yard!

I'm not sure what to make of the "cloudy bore" other than some surface rust. Can't imagine corrosion such as from primers. JB Bore Paste is pretty stout scrubbing.

I will be interested to find out if your guess was correct. Please report back when you find out!

Cant tell from the pics, but I would concur with you judging on the condition of the hammer sides. It also appears it has the original cylinder that is counter bored for the cartridge rims. Replacement cylinders lack this feature, and the rear frame to cylinder gap is greater. Even if it has their T bar safety "upgrade", you didn't do too bad. Our money is worth less and less each passing day.
