    Replacement Stocks

I have a Garand that I bought from CMP, and a Carbine that I inherited. Both are good mechanically but have ratty woodwork. I ordered replacement stocks for both from Dupage Trading Company in Arizona, and I am very impressed. The prices were reasonable, the shipping was prompt (I live in CA), and the quality of the product is excellent. The wood comes pre-stained so that everything will match. All I have to do is start rubbing on the tung oil, do any final fitting, and then take them to the range to show them off!

If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That's ridiculous!
If I have a gun, what in the hell do I have to be paranoid about?

    "...do any final fitting..."

Check for things like over/under hang around the buttplate, bands, ferrule etc al. Before you actually start in on the stocks.
