Antique parlor pistol ID help needed!!!

so, i wound up inheriting this piece from one of my wife's family members. It's a pretty neat little (what looks to be) .22 short rim-fire parlor pistol, but that is about all that I know about it so far.

Anyone out there in have any information on this pistol, or possibly know where I might be able to find out for myself?
