    C&R in Orangevale...

Just FYI, I stopped by Orangevale Arms in Orangevale this afternoon for a look/see. They are a hole in the wall in the back of a strip mall off Greenback Lane. I was surprised to find a number of old war horses on the wall. I have no ownership or financial interest of any kind, just thought maybe some folks here might be interested.

A swift kick in the nuts would be better service than Wild Sports was.

The first 20 years they were there they were decent. But the area had fewer shops at the time too. There was a breakup when a few of the best firearms counter guys left; it was never the same after that, at least on the gun side. Fishing side seemed to be ok.

Sometimes I think had better service when it was Van's Market. For groceries... It was Jet Market, then Vans Market.

Ya, after Sterling took his piece of the pie and left the organization seemed like it was never the same. They started when they bought the old Doc's Tackle Box across the street and then moved to the old market building. They sure capitalized quickly. I always wondered what their source of funding was.

Yep. Remember all of that. Boardwalk was Cowtown back when they (wild Sports) got the old Tackle Box business.

I remember questions about their funding too

                        Nice trip down memory lane!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

Their current location isn't a hole in the wall..... their PRIOR location was a hole in the wall!

Nice guys. Received a CMP 1911 for me.

Just went there, terrific service. Will gladly support them. Those m44s are asking $500. Some look like original/ non refurbished very good condition? ! Not 100% sure as I have more than I really need already and they look dam near brand new refurbished condition.

What I thought was very cool was old surplus ammo sizes. 8mm and 7mm French plus some others was there.

Remember though!! PPT are only done on Tuesday/Thursday I think, we did a PPT there... I swear it took maybe 10-15 minutes. Amazing.
