    Yugo m48 handguard Screw

Question for C&R gurus out there.

Where can I find a yugo m48 handguard screw? I checked Apex and they only have a generic description "Mauser Handguard Screw" for $2. https://www.apexgunparts.com/mauser-...ard-screw.html
Liberty Tree has one for sale $7. Item description:
"This is the larger coarse thread version that fits most Mausers such as the: Vz24, 1908, 1909, 98/29 1895 and others." http://www.libertytreecollectors.com...dproduct=10783

I just looked all over my usual sources for parts (Numrich, Century, Sarco, Gunbroker, ebay) and couldn't find one. Hope you are able to source one. I would give the generic Mauser one a try.

Thanks. I ended up buying 2 mauser handguard screws and 2 vz24 handguard screws from Apex. Cross my fingers one of them fits. Worst case scenario, I'll just check the thread pitch on a yugo m24/47 and see if I can find a screw from Lowe's or Home depot that will fit.

I checked my rifles. None of the handguard screws from any of the South American variants would fit the Yugo M-48 the M-48 looks like it has a coarser thread pitch.

I just got my replacement screws. vz24 was a perfect fit. Pictures coming up. My m48A is full off cosmoline with a mirror like barrel and unfired bolt.
