I had a few boxes of my C&R pistol collection out for oiling. Thought I would share a few pic's.

It should be easy to determine the date of manufacture on the post war commercial P-38's as they were dated on the frame. See the pic below. I also mislabeled my second commercial P-1 as a "P-38". But it too is dated on the frame.

Any firearm which is 50+ years old is a C&R.



Both are pre 1986 imports as the have the earlier markings "made in west Germany" on the frame.

I'm jealous. Really top condition pistols. I wish my S/42 1937 luger was even near yours in quality. It's a rare variation, only 3k+ made, but the GI that captured it had it chromed.
