Looks like a homemade handle to me. Value? Probably not much. Maybe $25 - $50, in my eyes. They weren't anything to write home about, like a Randall or even a Vietnam-era Gerber. Your mileage may vary.

It's a very modified knife. So it's probably not worth much. Can you take better pic's showing the markings? White backgrounds aren't the best. try a grey or brown one.

The only USN marked knifes that I am familiar with are the MK1 and MK2. As you can see, the MK1 is considerably shorter with a 5 1/2" blade. The knife in the MK1 scabbard is marked "USN MARK1" on the blade and is a PAL RH35. The MK2 is a KABAR and is marked "KABAR (on two lines) on one side of the hilt and MK2 on the other. It has the standard WWII 7" blade.

The knife in question by the OP is a modified and re-handled USN Mk 2 manufactured by Robeson Shuredge. It's hard to pin it as a 'theater' knife because I don't think we can tell if the modifications were done 'in theater' or sometime after the war. One of the common complains about the Mk 2 was the leather handle rotting off. The guard looks thin, so may not original. It looks like something that would be made after someone breaks the old pommel off by hammering with it. The current pommel looks like it came off a Buck 119 (or similar).
