A couple of old Colt 22. semiauto pistols.

I was taking some pic's of a few other pistols and got these out to oil. The Challenger belonged to my Dad and was the first pistol I ever shot. It was made in 1950. The grips are unusually beautiful for this model. The Huntsman was made in 1969. I got it from a old lady who was disposing of her husbands collection.

    Poke'm with a stick!

Really nice. Those Colt models and all the High Standard similar pistols were way ahead of their time in design. Great to shoot also.

Was looking around. I finally found the original box and such for the Huntsman.

Great guns. Very similar to two 1950s vintage High Standards I recently acquired. Love those old .22 plinkers.

That's cool. Family related guns are special. It's interesting that the Colt and the High Standard look so much alike.

The grips on that Challenger!! Wow.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
                Come on...what harm??

Nice! I've been looking for a good deal on the Match/Target model.

Really nice! How do they shoot? I noticed the safety looks similar to the Hi-Power design.

Nice and pristine as are all your other postings. Other than the grips what's the difference between the two? They look the same to me.

They are basically the same. Colt had to rename the Challenger because of a conflict with Browning who already had a .22 semi auto pistol named Challenger.

I've shot the Challenger a lot. It was the first pistol I ever shot a a young boy. I've never shot the Huntsman.
