Nice man. The two I ordered are on the way as we speak as well. Got the first shipment of bayos today. So much fun getting this stuff shipped right to your door. Looking forward to seeing what you scored!Comment

Congrats!Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

My H&R Service Special arrived today. It's a Garand Springtime! Gotta break out the camera and lights and I will shoot some pictures that do it justice.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

I got both of my Springfields yesterday, a 5.7m and a 5.8m - was hoping for a WWII serial number to replace the one I stupidly, stupidly sold some years back.
The barrels are both at 1/1, both have new CMP wood sets. One has a HRA trigger group which is just amazing for a factory trigger, breaks like glass...the SA on the other gun feels terrible with a bunch of gritty creep.
Will be sanding down the wood and refinishing them over the next few weeks and then I'll get some pictures.Comment

Part 2
The RRA and square P seem to suggest a postwar refit. The number is a 3,000,000 but below the M1C series. All parts are SA except the trigger group.weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.

Also the gun showed up dry. No cosmoline anywhere. Makes it easy to clean obviously but should I be concerned about it? No rust that I could see.weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.

Don't be concerned. Many of the guns, especially the nice looking ones, are cleaned at the CMP. They do this to determine if the gun would qualify as a correct grade or higher.Comment

The metal is in great condition. Muzzle gauges +1, throat erosion gauges +3. Stock is a bit rough but I might get a new one just for making it a shooter.weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
