    K-31 ammo issues

Got my 1st K31 a few weeks ago at the Reno gun show and I must say it's 1 sweet rifle. I only found 2 k31's while I was there and they were at the same table. Granted I rushed through the whole place in about 3 hrs. This old guy had 2. 1 with a dark stock (walnut?) for $395 & 1 with a light stock (birch) for $295. I offered him $275 for the light one and became the proud owner of a beautiful #'s matching k31. I'll post pics eventually. Anyway, at the show I was only able to find 3 boxes of gp11 ammo. On my way home I stopped at cabelas & they had 2 boxes of hornady ammo, so I bought that too. Now for my problem. The rifle does not like the hornady ammo, sometimes you have to yank on the bolt pretty hard to get it to open. The gp11 ammo otoh runs smooth as silk when yanking back on the bolt. Is this common? I couldnt find any gp11 online so I bought some privi partisan to try out this weekend. Hope it works.

P.S. I'm not being a wuss about pulling on the bolt. I own Nagants.

Kind of a pain to post a pic. It's hornady custom yellow label, 7.5 swiss, 165 gr btsp. Lot#3060063. i'm guessing the other # is the sku #80487.

Here's some more: http://www.samcoglobal.com/Ammo-75-swiss.html Their shipping is expensive though, and they don't add it to your bill until they ship it.

Jason, I think your best bet for the time being is to get the PRVI cartridges from Grafs or wherever. Gp11 is great sutff but a bit expensive.
Last year my Father had the opportunity to buy an entire container load of GP11 palettes, but the real expense was getting it from the Port of Entry to Montana. It kicked the end price up too high. He had intended it selling it to new users at cost, but by the time shipping from there to here was added in, the end price was no better than the average selling price of GP11 on the net. I don't think anyone was more excited than I was about that possibility. Oh well.......
