It's a 1906 Webley Fosbery in .455 - the rounds it is firing in the little movie were Canadian Army made in 1943 (ISAA 455 INCH MKIV).

The only "successful" military use for this revolver was supposedly bi-plane to bi-plane, as there were no ejecting shells to hit the pusher propellor or risk setting fire to the canvas.

It is in it's own enigmatic category as it is; a semi-automatic revolver, for a few seconds it might have entered another category - it doesn't need to be shot anymore.

If you find another for sale let me know, I am not shooting this one again...
...Unless, it is in defense of my bi-plane, under attack from another bi-plane.

Very nice, and I hope you have some sons to carry on your collection in the far future.

        Awesome find!
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

          Thank you.

Ref. my family carrying on the collection - when Pit get's croaked - these go to auction, and that's fine with me, lol.

          Cessnapilot -
I have a terrific Webley WS Army - shaved to .45acp with a bag full of half moon clips - for trade - (Value $750 - $900) - this is not a MKVI - this is the rarer, better finished, better shooting, civvie purchase version. Think of yourself as Lawrence of Arabia shooting Turks with it, lol.

Very nice. I've been collecting military guns for almost fifty years, and have only seen three of those in person. Even back when they were only a thousand bucks it was too expensive, because an original all matching K-98 was $275!

Well the K98 will be four times that value now - $1000 - $1200

The Fosbery would have increased at least seven times it's purchase value, depending on condition, model, etc.,.

              But, hindsight is always 20:20.
(We should really all have been buying houses and land in the 1980's anyway, lol)

              I like Mauser's, too.

That is seriously cool. If you traded an old Harley for it, does it mean you are going to chrome the revolver and put on leather grips?
