    Farad heating up

After firing 20-30 rounds my M1 starts to get really warm and after that it gets hot. Is this common or is something going on. I have shot both reloads and Greek surplus. and it still gets hot.

Barrels on pretty much any rifle are going to warm up and get hot when you shoot them. The faster you shoot them, the faster the barrel heats up.

Aside from the hot gasses from the explosion, you also have the friction from shoving a wad of metal down a tube that it barely fits through at high speeds so you have friction as well. Of course the barrel will get hot.
