    C&R ak-47

    This is just a general question as I am new to the Ak47 world.
    Why is it that there are no old ak-47s for sale past 50 years old? I'm guessing that either all the countries that issued them are still using them or there are importation restrictions on them. If they are available could someone PLEASE tell me where, I would be very interested, and it would go great with my m44.

      They're all machineguns and as such are not legal to import.

              Gun Control Act of 1968 prohibits the importation of MGs for civilian use.
              After 1968, MGs can only be imported for Gov/Mil/LE agency use only.
