Gotch-ya! Not what you were thinking I'd bet. These are SKSs that I brought back into what I would consider decent looking, safe, consistant group, shooters. All had some minor mechanical or major neglect issues. While others had cracked or missing furniture, or Bubba brushed against it to hard. Only the 2 with bayos are in the orignal wood. The '59 Rommy had a limp safety, and the laminate Egyptian Contract was a single shot when I got it. The ATI Drag I worked over into what felt right and looked way better than ATI made it. Shaved off the upper forearm risers, added deep finger grooves between the vent holes, and thumb and finger grooves on the pistol grip. The '60 Rommy got some Chinese wood. The Sino-Soviet got the best of the extra wood I had, but no matching wood handguard. Since the "Cheese Grater" and the Cutts style brake complement each other, that's what it got. Not a big fan of the Tapco but the Para looks great in it with ATI hand guard. Same rounded profile. The pistol grip has Hogue slip on rubber finger grooves. It handles like a champ even if it's a little heavier. It's my baby. Wadda-ya think. PAX
