Making Cheap Mosin Stripper Clips Work Well

    Hi Folks,

So many Chinese stripper clips are being sold today that it's hard to find the older once that actually work well. Got to playing around with the design of the Chinese commercial version and came up with a way to make it work.

    I hope this helps someone.

    Regards,

    Josh

Mods, can you merge this thread with this one http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=553356 ?

I don't know how the other one got started as I was actually away from the house when it was posted, but it has more responses.

      Thanks guys!

I got lucky and ordered a case of Bulgarian ammunition that was loaded on stripper clips (wasn't even advertised as such).
Alot isn't a word and allot isn't the word you think it is.

I'd really like a Colt 1903 frame, bad finish okay!
I'm also looking for a good deal on a 1911 frame or two for budget/spare parts builds.

does this method work with brass clips? mine are acceptable but I'm just wondering.

I very much doubt it will. Brass would anneal -- it would get softer. It doesn't harden the way steel and iron do.

Brass work hardens, meaning you'd have to beat it around for a while to get it hard...

            Iron or steel only here!

            Regards,

            Josh
